Vowels

In Spanish, the vowels are always pronounced the same. Note how the sounds are all short and crisp.

a – e – i – o – u

Listen to these words and try to repeat them exactly:

atrasar: to cause to relapse
estrés: stress
irrigar: to irrigate
ojo: eye
uña: nail
